About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how North Atlanta Ghanaian Seventh-day Adventist Church ("NAGSDAC," "we," "us," or "our") handles information collected through our mobile application ("App") and website at northatlantaghanaiansda.org ("Site").

Information we collect

Mobile app

• Push notification token. When you grant notification permission, your device's Expo push token is saved so we can alert you when a live service begins. This token identifies your device but not you personally.
• Prayer requests. If you submit a prayer request, we collect your name, optional email address, and the content of your request. This information is shared only with NAGSDAC ministry leaders.
• Education Ministry submissions. If you submit a graduation form, we collect your name, school, academic details, favourite Bible verse, and an optional photo. This information may be shared in church communications with your consent.

Website

• Contact forms. Name and email address submitted via contact or visitor connection forms.
• Store accounts. If you create a Ministry Store account, we store your email address and a hashed password.
• Standard server logs. IP addresses and page requests are logged temporarily for security and diagnostics.

How we use information

• To deliver push notifications about live services and church announcements.
• To respond to prayer requests and visitor enquiries.
• To celebrate academic achievements shared through the Education Ministry.
• To process Ministry Store orders.
• To send email notifications when you request them.

Information sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information is shared only:

• With NAGSDAC ministry leaders who need it to respond to your submission.
• With service providers who help us operate our App and Site — Cloudflare (hosting), Expo (push notifications), Resend (email). These providers may not use your data for other purposes.
• When required by law.

Push notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings (Settings → Notifications → NAGSDAC). Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.

Data retention

Push tokens are retained while you have the app installed with notifications enabled. Prayer requests and form submissions are retained at our discretion and may be deleted upon request. Store account data is retained until you request account deletion.

Children's privacy

Our App and Site are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption and secure database storage through Cloudflare's infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us below. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our App or Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
